1600 Penn (NBC)

1600 Penn (NBC)

Recently we had a chance to view NBC’s newest show 1600 Penn before its official premiere (NBC 9:30/8:30c). We loved the show. We found it to be witty, charming, and capable of luring us unbelievably fast into a real connection with the characters.  Needlessly to say, after watching 1600 Penn we need to see more.

Interestingly enough, the promos for the series almost repelled us away from tuning in.  It was only after giving the 1600 Penn pilot episode a shot — because, well, we watch anything —  that we realized our dedication to television led us to a hidden jewel.

We  hope audiences don’t make the same mistake of dismissing 1600 Penn before watching. Viewers need to give this show a chance so it doesn’t become yet another brilliant but canceled series that can’t garner enough viewership to survive for a second season (rest in peace, GCB – you are still missed).

When we were thinking about the possibility of 1600 Penn being under-appreciated we thought of all the other current shows fighting the same fate. There are so many great series that never seem to get their day in the sun. So, without further ado, here is our list of the 13 most under-appreciated shows currently on television (in no particular order).
